The Meaning Behind the Name.

In the military, “One Minute Out” is the final countdown before execution begins. It is the exact moment the ramp drops, the helo lands, the breach goes, and the luxury of talking is over. In that high-pressure window, everything relies entirely on your preparation, your unshakeable standards, and the trust you have in the people around you. One Minute Out were the last words radioed upon the greatest loss of life in the SEAL Teams’ history. One Minute Out are words I have keyed up on the radio when I was personally on the way to help other team members. As the founder of One Minute Out, I want to relay and teach what made those words so powerful in my community.

We founded our leadership programs so that when you are one minute away from your greatest challenges, you rise to your standards.

The Founder’s Journey:

Brad Woodard

One Minute Out was founded by Brad Woodard, a retired Navy SEAL Chief Warrant Officer. With 24 years of active-duty military service and over two decades in the SEAL Teams, he followed, trained, and grew alongside the greatest of communities. Brad learned firsthand that elite performance has nothing to do with generic motivation and everything to do with human connection, awareness, discipline, and relationships.

These principles are not confined to special operations.

Upon retiring from active service, Brad successfully translated this exact architecture of trust and alignment into professional sports management and player development, working directly with Major League Baseball organizations and continuing his work to this day. Simultaneously, he has deployed these frameworks to shape the next generation of leaders, directing leadership curriculum for high-level collegiate scholars at ten universities.

Whether your uniform involves body armor, a number, or business-casual attire, the human element remains identical. Brad’s life's work is built on the universal truth that high-performing teams are built from the ground up through authentic, relational leadership.

Our Core Philosophy:

Mission. Team. Self.

True leadership is not a rank, a title, or a mechanism of control.

Leadership is the art of caring for others so they win.

We help organizations build an unshakeable culture by aligning their people around a strict operational hierarchy: Mission, Team, Self.

  • The Mission is our shared destination and common standard.

  • The Team is our greatest asset, requiring relentless development, deep relational trust, and absolute accountability.

  • Self—our own ego, comfort, and personal validation—is placed dead last.

A group of people gathered around a table, with one person holding a textured orange ball with pink lights, and others reaching and smiling, appearing to be engaged in a game or activity in a room with office doors and tables.
Military personnel in camouflage uniforms gathered outdoors on rocky terrain, listening to a speaker beside military vehicles with open trunks, in a desert landscape.

The Keys to What We Do:

Listen. Translate. Illuminate.

We operate differently. Our willingness and ability to lift others up relies on an ongoing process.

  • We Listen: We don’t walk in with pre-packaged answers. We listen to the specific friction points, unsaid tensions, and cultural blind spots unique to your organization.

  • We Translate: We take elite, high-stakes operational frameworks and translate them into simple, actionable daily habits that seamlessly fit your team’s culture and calendar.

  • We Illuminate: We hold up the mirror. We give your people the self-awareness, cognitive durability, and practical tools they need to lead themselves more effectively, ensuring high performance becomes the standard.

  • Your Team Dominates.
